Mississippi Code § 69-29-15 is a statute that makes it illegal to remove a collar, tag, or marking device from an animal without the owner's permission.Â
Mississippi Code § 97-41-16 states that any person who shall maliciously kill, main, or injure any dog or cause any person to do the same, shall be fined up to $1000 or imprisoned up to 6 months.
